Needs
- Project Sponsor – help subsidize the cost of eMi² operating this project on a non-profit basis with a one-time donation of US$300.

Project Scope
Karunai Illam Ministry (KIM) was established in 1993 by an English teacher from Vellore, southern part of India. KIM’s vision is to promote holistic development (physical, economical, social and spiritual) of the marginalized people (especially children) in the area of Vellore. As KIM works among the poor, they felt the need to start a hostel for the children and for people who are in need, in order to provide better care for them. Recently, a 1.5-acre property has been gifted to KIM which will become its future ministry centre. KIM wants its future centre to be self-sufficient, to become a model village and a witness to the people around the area.

KIM has invited eMi2 to assist them to develop the conceptual master plan for their new campus with facilities including: hostels for 50 boys and 50 girls, a chapel for 200, guest house for 4 families and ‘shelter for the homeless’ for 30. Conceptual building design for the Hostel, the first phase development, will also be needed. KIM is making a strategic step towards establishing their future ministry centre and your help will be crucial to the development of KIM. The project trip will be based out of the south Indian city of Chennai, and may be combined with another project in the same city. Look forward to having you with us this September!
